  • How long does delivery take?

Standard deliveries will be with you within 2 weeks, often quicker. If you are wanting your order to arrive for a specific date, simply select express delivery & let us know when you’re needing it & we'll work with you to make it happen.

Occasionally some types of orders may take a little extra time. These include: Custom orders, large orders, rural deliveries & orders where we are waiting on the client for files, changes & approvals.

Pickup: Pickup orders are ready within 2 weeks or sooner. If you need to collect by a certain date simply let us know.

Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day & Valentine’s Day: Special occasions have special timings that will be published on our website & FAQ section to ensure you receive your pieces in time.

My order is a gift - can it be delivered straight to them? Yes! Our products are nicely wrapped and presented, so there is no problems sending it as a gift directly to your loved ones. We never put invoices in your delivery, so it is always fine to send directly as a gift!

Can I pick up my order? Absolutely. Our workshop is located in Cheltenham, Victoria 3192. Simply select PICKUP at checkout & we will sing out when your order is ready to collect.

How much is shipping? Shipping starts at $9.95 and is calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your pieces. Shipping is free when spending over $150.

Height Charts delivery starts at $19.95 due to their size. (Height charts cannot currently be delivered to WA & NT due to size) For custom, overseas, wholesale & trade orders, we will provide a shipping estimate on your quote.

Do you ship overseas? Yes, simply email us before ordering and we'll send you a quick & easy quote for shipping for your consideration prior to ordering.

I’m needing my piece urgently! Can you help? No worries, we are specialists in making miracles happen & always happy to help. Let us know in your order notes or get in contact and we’ll work with you to make it happen.

Will you print while i wait?

No - we use very large, very expensive professional printing equipment (which is why our work is always the best you’ll get!). But if you need your pieces by a certain day/time, let us know and we’ll work with you to make it happen.

  • Is my photo suitable for printing on wood? Yes indeed! All photos are suitable to print on wood. We accept all formats and orientations of photos. If you have any queries you can always email us your photo at info@printonwood.com.au

Can I see a preview of my order? Yes! After you order we always send you a preview of your pieces prior to production so you can check everything is perfect & make any tweaks or changes before we make your pieces.

My photo was taken with my phone - is this ok? Heck yes! We work with photos off phones every day. If we have any concerns about resolution or quality we will always let you know. We can also enhance images through clever software to get the best out of them!

My photo was saved off social media - is this ok? Social media photos are usually fine, but not as good quality as the original photo. Facebook & Instagram reduce the quality of photos to make file sizes smaller. Ideally if you can track down the original photo from your phone or camera, the difference in quality will be totally worth it! If you're unsure, email us your photos and we'll take a look! Handy hint: Our magnet sets range are absolutely perfect for all photos off social media.

My photo is small, old, grainy or low quality - is this ok? While good quality photos are always ideal, we understand this isn't always possible. The good news is that we have some smart people and clever technology that can help nudge your photos in the right direction. We'll always send you a preview before printing and will let you know if we have concerns around quality.

  • What is the quality like? In a word? Amazing! We use giant professional printers (not little baby shop ones!), so you are getting the same quality that we use for big global brands like Lamborghini & Coca-Cola. Our prints are loved and used by artists & photographers across Australia.

What makes photoblock sets different? Photoblock sets are identical to our photoblock range, the only difference is price. If you're looking at ordering multiple blocks, by ordering as a set you can save substantially (discounts vary across the range).

Do photoblocks stand? Absolutely. Photoblocks up to A3 size are designed to be displayed with pride on your shelf and are supplied with our clever new Floating Photoblock Stand, made from revolutionary recycled materials, so you can chose to display your photos upright or with an elegant lean. Large Photo Blocks from 35x50cm in size are supplied with professional hanging wire and are designed to be hung on your wall, rather than stand on a shelf.

How do I hang my photo blocks on the wall? Easy! All photoblocks can be easily hung on your wall using velcro hanging strips. Our Large Photoblocks collection include professional hanging wire attached to the reverse & felt pads to protect your wall, so you can easily hang them on a hook or nail in your wall.

What are the art series framed photo blocks? Your images printed on premium birch wood framed in a premium 100% Australian oak hardwood frame. The art series is a premium, gallery quality finish and comes with professional hanging wire & protective felt pads on the reverse to make hanging a breeze.

How are bamboo photo blocks different?

Bamboo is thicker than our traditional birch photoblocks & have a unique edge look and soft brown tone. The print detail, quality & finish is the exact same professional grade printing that is used on all our photoblocks. Bamboo photoblocks are one of our most sustainable products as bamboo is a grass & regenerates faster & absorbs more co2 than other woods & come with free personalised message engraving on the backs of single bambo blocks.

What makes large photoblocks different? Large photoblocks are designed for hanging on your wall and are made from a slightly thinner version of the exact same rigid birch wood (12mm / 1.2cms). This is to reduce the weight of these large pieces to allow for easier hanging on hooks & nails.

Can I engrave my photoblocks? Yes! We offer free message engraving for single photoblocks + you can add engraving on to sets too!. Just follow the prompts when adding to cart to add your message. Note we cannot engrave sizes 100cm and over. See eligable products here

  • Will my photo fit in the shape/size I’ve chosen? We always email you a digital preview of your product for you to check the cropping prior to production! We’re amazing at making photos fit, but in instances where we can’t get a suitable fit we can easily swap you over to a more suitable shape or try a different photo!

Will my photo fit in an arch, sail, circle, hexagon, etc? We crop photos to all sorts of shapes all day every day so we’re magicians at making your photos fit & look magical! We also use some clever AI tools to help us make things perfect where required. We always email you a digital preview of your product for you to check the cropping prior to production and if something doesn't quite fit we'll always flag it with you.

Here’s some handy tips to help your photo selection:

Circles & Hexagons: The best photos are ones that have the people or subject in the center of the shot with room around them that can be cropped out.

Arches + Sails: The best are vertical format photos that have the people or subject in the center of the shot with room a little room around the top & sides for them to be cropped.

Double Arches: Can be either vertical or portrait format. The best photos are the ones that have room where the curves are so that they can be easily cropped!

Panoramics: The best photos are ones that have been taken in 16:9 format or panoramic mode, or photos where the top and bottom can be cropped off a little.

Can you do portrait and landscape formats on all shapes & sizes? Yes! The orientation of your photos is not a problem. All products can be vertical or horizontal. Sets can even be a mix of portait and landscape. Please note that some shapes like Arch & Sail are best suited to vertical photos.

Can you show me what my image would look like before ordering? Of course! If you'd like to double check before ordering, you can email us info@printonwood.com.au with your image and the product size/shape you are looking at and we'll check for you ASAP within business hours!

  • Do you do custom sizes & shapes of photoblocks? Yes. Because we create all our photoblocks in our workshop, custom shapes & sizes are too easy. Get in contact and let us know the size & shape that you’re after & we'll get you a quick quote.

What’s the largest possible photoblock size? The largest single photo block we can produce is 1.2 meters x 2.4 meters (120cms x 240cms). For bigger installations we split images so they cover multiple panels that join together. If you have an oversize print requirement, please contact us for pricing.

  • Do you offer bulk, trade or wholesale pricing? Yes. Bulk, trade & wholesale is a significant part of what we do. We provide bulk & custom manufacturing services to businesses across Australia & overseas. See our custom manufacturing FAQ page or custom manufacturing gallery for more information.

Do you work with professional photographers? Yes. We love working with professional images and we are always too happy to talk tech with pros and create a solution that is right for your workflow. We accept all output file types as well as files from Lightroom and Photoshop.

If you are a professional photographer wanting to be set up for trade pricing, please contact us via email with your business name, ABN & contact details.

I am an artist - can you print my artworks on wood? Absolutely. Illustrations, paintings, gallery prints, limited editions and art installations are all ideal uses for wood printing. Our work is no stranger to galleries across Australia. We can even engrave edition numbers on the reverse so each piece is certifiably one-of-a-kind.

Can I use photoblocks to create a wooden sign for my business or event? Yes, too easy. We recommend getting in touch to discuss how you're using it so we can help make the sign of your dreams. There are other hanging options, woods, raised lettering, foils and custom shapes and sizes available to make your sign stand out and to best suit your needs. Contact us to enquire.
